Walking with Huachuma
A 12-Week Microdosing Journey into Presence, Freedom & Self-Trust
Creating a life you no longer need to escape.
Walking with Huachuma is an intimate course and 12-week companion journey for those who feel called to explore a more conscious relationship with Huachuma—also known as San Pedro—and with themselves.
Guided by Trevor Elliott and his deeply personal relationship with this sacred cactus medicine, the course explores Huachuma as a practice of presence, self-empathy, movement, and honest self-inquiry.
Rather than approaching change through force, shame, or perfection, Walking with Huachuma invites you to become curious about the patterns that pull you away from yourself—and to practice returning, again and again, to the life happening right here.
From Escaping Yourself to Being With Yourself
For Trevor, substances once offered what he described as a “vacation from myself”—a temporary escape from depression, looping thoughts, grief, and the intensity of his own inner experience.
His relationship with Huachuma offered something very different.
Not another escape, but a return.
Trevor describes the medicine as a “presence magnifier”: an ally that helped him step out of the exhausting movement between past and future and reconnect with the immediacy of the present moment.
Walking with Huachuma grew from that lived experience.
Throughout the course, Trevor shares his story with remarkable openness—from alcohol and kratom dependency to grief, loss, ADHD, relapse, and the practices that continue to support his relationship with sobriety and presence today.
What You’ll Explore
Across the journey, you’ll be introduced to Huachuma through both Trevor’s lived relationship with the medicine and simple practices designed to bring its teachings into everyday life. You’ll explore:
- Trevor’s Story — an honest account of addiction, grief, plant medicine, relapse, healing, and learning to remain present with life.
- What Is Huachuma? — an introduction to the cactus, Trevor’s relationship with it, and the qualities he has encountered through years of working with the medicine.
- Cultivating Presence & Self-Empathy — learning to meet difficult thoughts, emotions, cravings, and sensations with curiosity rather than immediately trying to escape them.
- Microdosing Huachuma — creating greater intentionality around your relationship with the medicine and noticing how your own body and experience respond.
- Movement as Medicine — discovering walking, hiking, surfing, nature, sunlight, and embodied movement as powerful companions to presence.
- Integration as a Way of Life — carrying what you discover beyond the microdose and into your relationships, choices, habits, and everyday experience.
What This Journey Is Really About
This course is not about becoming perfect.
It is not about never struggling again.
And it is not about asking a plant to do your healing for you.
It is about developing the capacity to stay.
To stay with a sensation long enough to hear what it is asking for.
To stay present when an old pattern invites you to disappear.
To meet yourself with empathy instead of judgment.
To move your body when your mind becomes stuck.
To reconnect with the Earth, with others, and with the life directly in front of you.
Over 12 weeks, the invitation is to begin replacing escape with presence, judgment with self-empathy, and unconscious habit with conscious relationship.
Why Walk with Trevor?
Trevor does not teach this material from a place of perfection.
He teaches it because he has lived it.
His journey has included alcohol dependency, depression, ADHD, profound grief, the death of his partner, a later dependency on kratom, and the ongoing work of choosing presence again and again.
That realness is at the heart of Walking with Huachuma.
You are not being taught by someone standing at the finish line telling you how to arrive. You are walking alongside someone who has discovered tools that changed his relationship with himself—and who continues to practice them.
Your Invitation
Perhaps the deepest question within Walking with Huachuma is not simply:
“How do I stop reaching for this?”
But instead:
“What am I trying to escape—and what might become possible if I learned how to stay?”
Huachuma may be the companion.
Presence is the practice.
And the deeper journey is learning to create a life you no longer need to escape.
